    New EP update 2 🎼

    Just a short update today, but it is certainly worthy of a new blog entry.

    Track 1 – New sound effects added to the start of the song, slight orchestrations and all lyrics are now fully written. This will be our only song with vocals being recorded in Welsh.

    This is a very personal track, and remains hard and heavy and the logical successor to “Vol 2 The Rewiring of Humanity”, but unless we change our minds the lyrics for this song will not be published.

    Release date is still not known yet (sorry) but we dont want to rush it, but as soon as a date is set I will be telling everyone!! 😆🤘

  • Update on our new EP 🎶

    Update on our new EP 🎶

    We are well into the writing of our new EP, here’s some early details on the release:

    1. The EP will contain 4 original tracks.

    2. Each track will be released as a single throughout 2023.

    3. The EP so far is tentatively entitled “Vol 3 Experiments”.

    4. Track 1 will be the logical successor to “Vol 2 The Rewiring of Humanity” our concept death metal opera album in sound, and execution.

    5. Track 2 is going to be much much slower and is inspired by doom/goth metal.

    6. Track 3 will be a much faster thrash style song, sung and lyrics written by Neil.

    7. Track 4 will be our longest track to date.

    Well that’s enough for now 😉. There will of course be more information coming out closer to the time.

    Digipak CDs and the misprint!

    We have longed for the day when our digipak CDs would arrive, it seems like years ago when we finished the album and released it.

    It was Monday 20th March 2023 when we had a knock on the door, I opened it to find it was Royal Mail with a package for me. I said thank you, closed the door and opened the package to find our album artwork staring me back in the face! I was overcome with joy and happiness (which for me given my mental health issues is quite difficult). I quickly grab a CD, turn to my wife and said really loudly “LOOK, ITS HERE!!” she was overjoyed and we starting dancing around the living room, then i noticed it.. a misprint! My heart immediately sank as I was overcome with dread, anger, humiliation as well as me thinking I had let the band down. I recoiled, stopped smiling and sat down clutching my head, I couldn’t believe what had happened. The spelling mistake is not major at all, it is small and it can be found somewhere on the CD – If you have purchased one, get in touch and tel us where it is 😉

    We have decided these CDs are going to be a numbered limited edition run of 25 CDs only, the artwork file has been deleted and as such a re-run of the artwork with the misprint is never going to happen again, this is your only chance to grab one. We will be (hopefully) be printing more CDs in time, but again they will not contain the misprint.

    I want to stress, the music on the CD is perfect, and the quality is literally something to behold, the misprint is purely cosmetic only.

    The album is based on a short horror/gore story I have written that takes place in a victorian-esq steampunk world full of crime and sculduggery. This story is a tale of tragedy, horror, brutality and machinery.

    The album is called “Vol 2: The rewiring of humanity”

    I am always shocked just how quickly Christmas and the holiday period goes.

    Now its 2023, and time for a brief update on the album 🙂

    The album consists of 10 tracks, we will be releasing the track titles in the next few weeks, but for now here’s how close to completion we are.

    As you can see we are very very close to completing this album and releasing it

    The short story that will be released at the same time as the album is 100% completed.

    Thank you so much to you all for your support this year, from “Vol 1 Light Through The Dark” (our covers EP) being released on all streaming platforms in April 2022, our single “Food will stretch the flesh” on all streaming platforms being released on 28th November, and our album (name to be released at a later date) which is so very very close to being released, and not forgetting completing the short story novel that will be released with the album.

    It has been an incredible year for us. See you all in 2023 with more bombastic, chaotic, crazy, metalness 😀🤘

    Releasing music in 2022 is hard and usually being found on music streaming sites is very difficult.

    I can’t confirm proper numbers yet as they can take up to two months to come in, but the release day of our single was very good for a band like us considering we have never played any live gigs ….. yet 😉

    Thank you to everyone that has purchased band merchandise from this website, we really appreciate it!!!

    There will be much more to come, and of course a full album release in the next few weeks, a brief update on that below.

    Most tracks now have full vocals and Neil is mixing and mastering them like a little demon, a massive thank you to him!!!

    The short story is 100% complete, with artwork, chapters relating to the music titles and will be available on Bandcamp and Amazon on the day the album is released.

  • Knee deep in the album ….

    Knee deep in the album ….

    It’s been a very very busy few weeks which is why I haven’t updated the blog. There is such a long list of ‘actions completed’ (for want of a better phrase) but I think ill start off on what we as a band have completed since our last blog update on the 25th August 2022.

    1. The fast fiction short story horror/gore book I detailed in August that will be coming out along side the album is completed. The update on this is I have had it back from the proofreaders/editors and the story remains unchanged (very very happy about that) and all the helpful tips I was given I have put into practise (after mulling over) and I can hand on heart say I am exstatic with the result.

    2. Finally changed the book layout to A5.

    3. I am working on presenting a small page or so from the short story fast fiction book for you to read, but as of yet I can’t decide on which page, but an excerpt is on its way soon.

    On the 14th July 2022 I stated tracks 2 and 6 were complete. Well, they are, but we decided to leave them for a while and then go back to them at a later date and see what (if anything) needed to be changed, altered etc.

    Track 2 – Recently we changed the baseline (massively) to better suit the feeling of the track, lock in with the drums a bit better and compliment the guitars more. There are more (way in the back) atmospherics added to the track which adds a real feeling of depth and better sits with the horror/goth/death vibe. Now this track is complete.

    Track 6 – A woodwind section has been added to the already in place orchestra, adds much more depth and suspense. I re-recorded the bass section as it was recorded in B and not A – an oversight on my part, but even if I do say so myself it does sound better in A – almost as if I wrote it that way in the first place 🙄🤪🤣. Now this track is complete.
    Track 5 – Bass is complete, working on orchestra, drums and guitars currently
    Intro – Completed
    Outro – Completed
    Track 7 – Bass is being recorded

    And that’s all for now, another update will be coming in the fortnight or so with further updates.

  • New bass!!

    New bass!!

    After recording and releasing our EP (Vol 1: Light through the dark), I needed to get another 5 string bass as I have plenty of 4 strings basses but need active redundancy incase my only 5 string broke.

    After searching for a few days to find another Epiphone Toby 5 string bass (like my current one) and realising they are now discontinued I had to look for another make, something I don’t enjoy doing when it comes to musical instruments.

    After lots of contemplation and annoying voices in my head I decided to go with the Musicman sub 5, an excellent bass with exceptional clarity and tone. I am very much going to enjoy recording our album using that!
