Which brings me on to 😉

    Our new shop!!

We have been hard at work revamping this website as well as adding new merchandise options to our Bandcamp store so now we offer a full range of CD’s digitally, physically and even in large collections.

Then I wondered after having this website for two years why not add a store, then we can reduce the prices of digital and physical products even more as the overheads are less.

You can get to our new “Shop Music” by looking above in the navigation or by clicking this link here (opens in new window)

That’s all for now, more to come shortly 🙂

    Thank you for your support

    Speak soon, take care

  • Update from Camp Pigeon

    Update from Camp Pigeon

It’s been a while since I last posted a blog, just over a month. I wanted to wait until we had something proper to share, well I think we do now.

✨A little emotional update from Camp Pigeon✨

Today is a milestone day for us, its exactly one month ago since our album & short horror story was released. This album and accompanying short story have literally surpassed any and all expectations we had for them and I would like to share how the album has done one month on with you. I want to emphatically state this is not us showing off at all but appreciating everything YOU have allowed us to achieve. If this wasn’t for all of YOU and this beautiful community none of this would have been possible and we are eternally grateful for your time in listening and reading.

Thank you to everyone that believed in us and backed our Kickstarter campaign, but unfortunately the funding was unsuccessful.

If you did back us (we have a list of names on Kickstarter) please get in touch with us as we would like to send you a free CD and keyring to just say thank you.

Now, where one door closes another opens, we have secured funding for 25 digipak CDs and they are currently being printed. Hopefully in the next few weeks some of those CDs will be available to buy and stocked in independent record shops in Bristol.

Lastly, we are excited to share we are in the process of writing new music!!

Thank you for accepting us, being so kind, and coming with us on this incredible journey.

    Love

    Death Pigeon
    (JD and Neil)

  • New single out now!!

    New single out now!!

The next single off our album is now out on all platforms!

This track is called ‘The end of the beginning’ and is chapter 5 in the short story, to follow when the album is released.

You can listen below on Bandcamp or YouTube Music below

Listen for free on YouTube Music ‘The end of the beginning’ – Opens new window

You can read more about the track here:

The single The end of the beginning is chapter 5 from the short story which also comes out with the album in a few weeks time and will be available on Band Camp & Amazon, here is an excerpt from that chapter:

WARNING – This excerpt from chapter 5 contains imagery that some people might find disturbing.

I had managed to hide myself between some large barrels of whiskey for a few days after the main event. Well, I thought the barrels contained Whiskey anyway. I opened the tap on the front, hoping for a small drink, and all that came out was thick, sloppy, congealed blood.

I can hear people shouting – one sounds like the specimen, and the other is most certainly the doctor. I walk with haste towards the shouting and hide in the shadows, ready to observe.
    “GET BACK!” shouted the doctor

“I AM GOING TO RIP YOU LIMB FROM LIMB FOR WHAT YOU HAVE DONE TO ME” shouted the specimen.
“GET BACK NOW I TELL YOU!!!” exclaimed the doctor. “WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO???? KILL ME?!?!?! YOU CANNOT KILL ME!!!!” shouted the specimen. “Your body has taken to these augmentations much faster than possible” said the doctor, his voice filled with confusion and admiration.

“Hahaha, now you’re fucked then” laughed the specimen.
The doctor ran. The specimen chased after him, grabbed him and dragged him back to the lab by his hair.

The specimen starts to glue the doctor to the gurney. “Let’s see, what shall I turn you into?” considered the specimen…………

  • Knee deep in the album ….

Knee deep in the album ….

It’s been a very very busy few weeks which is why I haven’t updated the blog. There is such a long list of ‘actions completed’ (for want of a better phrase) but I think ill start off on what we as a band have completed since our last blog update on the 25th August 2022.

    1. The fast fiction short story horror/gore book I detailed in August that will be coming out along side the album is completed. The update on this is I have had it back from the proofreaders/editors and the story remains unchanged (very very happy about that) and all the helpful tips I was given I have put into practise (after mulling over) and I can hand on heart say I am exstatic with the result.

    2. Finally changed the book layout to A5.

    3. I am working on presenting a small page or so from the short story fast fiction book for you to read, but as of yet I can’t decide on which page, but an excerpt is on its way soon.

On the 14th July 2022 I stated tracks 2 and 6 were complete. Well, they are, but we decided to leave them for a while and then go back to them at a later date and see what (if anything) needed to be changed, altered etc.

Track 2 – Recently we changed the baseline (massively) to better suit the feeling of the track, lock in with the drums a bit better and compliment the guitars more. There are more (way in the back) atmospherics added to the track which adds a real feeling of depth and better sits with the horror/goth/death vibe. Now this track is complete.

Track 6 – A woodwind section has been added to the already in place orchestra, adds much more depth and suspense. I re-recorded the bass section as it was recorded in B and not A – an oversight on my part, but even if I do say so myself it does sound better in A – almost as if I wrote it that way in the first place 🙄🤪🤣. Now this track is complete.
Track 5 – Bass is complete, working on orchestra, drums and guitars currently
    Intro – Completed
    Outro – Completed
Track 7 – Bass is being recorded

And that’s all for now, another update will be coming in the fortnight or so with further updates.

Don’t forget until the album is released, you can find our current EP on Apple Music, Spotify, YouTube, anywhere you listen to music or on the like below. Thank you for your support.
