    Band update for June ‘23

    Its been a busy month and we’re only half way through it, here is what has been happening:

    1. Track 2 from our new EP is making headway, it’s been re-written a few times but I think I like the newer version of the song better now.

    2. Should be putting the finishing touches to track 1 shortly, the lyrics are all written and some practise vocals are being recorded.

    3. We have just finished another great collaboration, this time with the incredible Mamas Maiden Studio, they created a stunning video for our song Death Welcomes, Watch it here and visit Mamas Maiden Studio here

    4. JD was interviewed by Vox + Stix for their interview segment called Vox + Guest on Friday 16th June about the band, had an in-depth discussion about the short horror story, the indie scene and where Death Pigeon goes from here. A fantastic time was had by all, the episode should be out towards the end of June. Check out Vox + Stix here

    5. We have just completed our first written interview with Only the Host, we had a great time and we think the interview turned out great. Check it out here

  • Update on our new EP 🎶

    Update on our new EP 🎶

    We are well into the writing of our new EP, here’s some early details on the release:

    1. The EP will contain 4 original tracks.

    2. Each track will be released as a single throughout 2023.

    3. The EP so far is tentatively entitled “Vol 3 Experiments”.

    4. Track 1 will be the logical successor to “Vol 2 The Rewiring of Humanity” our concept death metal opera album in sound, and execution.

    5. Track 2 is going to be much much slower and is inspired by doom/goth metal.

    6. Track 3 will be a much faster thrash style song, sung and lyrics written by Neil.

    7. Track 4 will be our longest track to date.

    Well that’s enough for now 😉. There will of course be more information coming out closer to the time.

    Update from Camp Pigeon

    It’s been a while since I last posted a blog, just over a month. I wanted to wait until we had something proper to share, well I think we do now.

    ✨A little emotional update from Camp Pigeon✨

    Today is a milestone day for us, its exactly one month ago since our album & short horror story was released. This album and accompanying short story have literally surpassed any and all expectations we had for them and I would like to share how the album has done one month on with you. I want to emphatically state this is not us showing off at all but appreciating everything YOU have allowed us to achieve. If this wasn’t for all of YOU and this beautiful community none of this would have been possible and we are eternally grateful for your time in listening and reading.

    Thank you to everyone that believed in us and backed our Kickstarter campaign, but unfortunately the funding was unsuccessful.

    If you did back us (we have a list of names on Kickstarter) please get in touch with us as we would like to send you a free CD and keyring to just say thank you.

    Now, where one door closes another opens, we have secured funding for 25 digipak CDs and they are currently being printed. Hopefully in the next few weeks some of those CDs will be available to buy and stocked in independent record shops in Bristol.

    Lastly, we are excited to share we are in the process of writing new music!!

    We are sorting new merchandise out for the albums release, more information on that soon.

    The album is based on a short horror/gore story I have written that takes place in a victorian-esq steampunk world full of crime and sculduggery. This story is a tale of tragedy, horror, brutality and machinery.

    The album is called “Vol 2: The rewiring of humanity”

    Track titles of the songs and book chapters are as follows:

    1. The nightmare begins
    2. Taken from your life
    3. Food will stretch the flesh (Consume no more)
    4. Human meat market
    5. The rewiring of humanity (body modification)
    6. The end of the beginning
    7. Sadness into madness (instrumental)
    8. Hunted and tortured
    9. Death welcomes
    10. Left to rot

    Releasing music in 2022 is hard and usually being found on music streaming sites is very difficult.

    I can’t confirm proper numbers yet as they can take up to two months to come in, but the release day of our single was very good for a band like us considering we have never played any live gigs ….. yet 😉

    Thank you to everyone that has purchased band merchandise from this website, we really appreciate it!!!

    There will be much more to come, and of course a full album release in the next few weeks, a brief update on that below.

    Most tracks now have full vocals and Neil is mixing and mastering them like a little demon, a massive thank you to him!!!

    The short story is 100% complete, with artwork, chapters relating to the music titles and will be available on Bandcamp and Amazon on the day the album is released.

    We are hoping to release it in the next few weeks.
