    Vol 4 update 1

    Hey folks,

Hope you’re all well, we have been a bit quiet of late as we have been furiously working on our new album entitled, Vol 4: A Puppet of Flesh and Bone. As I write this today (Sunday 3rd March) all songs have been completely written, bass recorded, next is guitar, then vocals, and finally off to be mixed and mastered.

We love the feel of this album, and have recorded a huge set of video diaries which release every Friday at 11:00 GMT on our YouTube channel, you can find the playlist below. Each video details a track off the album, goes into the BPM, and the overall feel for the album as well as the title.

We have loads more content coming before this album is released later in 2024, we hope you will enjoy it.

Until then, thank you for your support

    Take care

1 x Vol 2a: The Rewiring of Humanity (The Instrumentals)
1 x Vol 2b: The Rewiring of Humanity (The Worldwide Remixes)

1 x Map of ‘The World’ so far
1 x Physical printed story (spiral bound)

1 x Bandcamp code for Vol 2 digital collection (for a friend to download for free)

Which brings me on to 😉

    Our new shop!!

We have been hard at work revamping this website as well as adding new merchandise options to our Bandcamp store so now we offer a full range of CD’s digitally, physically and even in large collections.

Then I wondered after having this website for two years why not add a store, then we can reduce the prices of digital and physical products even more as the overheads are less.

You can get to our new “Shop Music” by looking above in the navigation or by clicking this link here (opens in new window)

That’s all for now, more to come shortly 🙂

    Thank you for your support

    Speak soon, take care

  • Band update for June ‘23

    Band update for June ‘23

Its been a busy month and we’re only half way through it, here is what has been happening:

    1. Track 2 from our new EP is making headway, it’s been re-written a few times but I think I like the newer version of the song better now.

    2. Should be putting the finishing touches to track 1 shortly, the lyrics are all written and some practise vocals are being recorded.

    3. We have just finished another great collaboration, this time with the incredible Mamas Maiden Studio, they created a stunning video for our song Death Welcomes, Watch it here and visit Mamas Maiden Studio here

    4. JD was interviewed by Vox + Stix for their interview segment called Vox + Guest on Friday 16th June about the band, had an in-depth discussion about the short horror story, the indie scene and where Death Pigeon goes from here. A fantastic time was had by all, the episode should be out towards the end of June. Check out Vox + Stix here

    5. We have just completed our first written interview with Only the Host, we had a great time and we think the interview turned out great. Check it out here

Thats it for now folks, next update will be the release of the new single,

Take care and thank you for all the support,

      JD 💚🤘

  • Collaboration with Naerok

    Collaboration with Naerok

Recently Death Pigeon have been working with a US based band called Naerok. They wanted to add vocals to one of our covers of Rammstein’s Mutter and its very hard to say no when their voice is as beautiful as theirs. We are very proud of this cover as between us we have kept the essence of the original song, but added so much more to it, to make it both ours.

Naerok provided the beautifully sung vocals and harmonies (including a full choir section!!!) in German, with Death Pigeon providing our own style of vocals on the chorus as well as the instrumentation.

The end result is a fantastically beautiful rendition of a classic song

It has been a wonderful experience to work with such kind and talented people in Naerok, if you havent heard them please check them out below.

  • Update on our new EP 🎶

Update on our new EP 🎶

We are well into the writing of our new EP, here’s some early details on the release:

    1. The EP will contain 4 original tracks.

    2. Each track will be released as a single throughout 2023.

    3. The EP so far is tentatively entitled “Vol 3 Experiments”.

    4. Track 1 will be the logical successor to “Vol 2 The Rewiring of Humanity” our concept death metal opera album in sound, and execution.

    5. Track 2 is going to be much much slower and is inspired by doom/goth metal.

    6. Track 3 will be a much faster thrash style song, sung and lyrics written by Neil.

    7. Track 4 will be our longest track to date.

Well that’s enough for now 😉. There will of course be more information coming out closer to the time.

Thanks for reading and supporting us, have a great Tuesday folks 💚🤘

  • Digipak CDs and the misprint!

    Digipak CDs and the misprint!

We have longed for the day when our digipak CDs would arrive, it seems like years ago when we finished the album and released it.

It was Monday 20th March 2023 when we had a knock on the door, I opened it to find it was Royal Mail with a package for me. I said thank you, closed the door and opened the package to find our album artwork staring me back in the face! I was overcome with joy and happiness (which for me given my mental health issues is quite difficult). I quickly grab a CD, turn to my wife and said really loudly “LOOK, ITS HERE!!” she was overjoyed and we starting dancing around the living room, then i noticed it.. a misprint! My heart immediately sank as I was overcome with dread, anger, humiliation as well as me thinking I had let the band down. I recoiled, stopped smiling and sat down clutching my head, I couldn’t believe what had happened. The spelling mistake is not major at all, it is small and it can be found somewhere on the CD – If you have purchased one, get in touch and tel us where it is 😉

We have decided these CDs are going to be a numbered limited edition run of 25 CDs only, the artwork file has been deleted and as such a re-run of the artwork with the misprint is never going to happen again, this is your only chance to grab one. We will be (hopefully) be printing more CDs in time, but again they will not contain the misprint.

I want to stress, the music on the CD is perfect, and the quality is literally something to behold, the misprint is purely cosmetic only.

    Much love & Thanks

  • Update from Camp Pigeon

    Update from Camp Pigeon

It’s been a while since I last posted a blog, just over a month. I wanted to wait until we had something proper to share, well I think we do now.

✨A little emotional update from Camp Pigeon✨

Today is a milestone day for us, its exactly one month ago since our album & short horror story was released. This album and accompanying short story have literally surpassed any and all expectations we had for them and I would like to share how the album has done one month on with you. I want to emphatically state this is not us showing off at all but appreciating everything YOU have allowed us to achieve. If this wasn’t for all of YOU and this beautiful community none of this would have been possible and we are eternally grateful for your time in listening and reading.

Thank you to everyone that believed in us and backed our Kickstarter campaign, but unfortunately the funding was unsuccessful.

If you did back us (we have a list of names on Kickstarter) please get in touch with us as we would like to send you a free CD and keyring to just say thank you.

Now, where one door closes another opens, we have secured funding for 25 digipak CDs and they are currently being printed. Hopefully in the next few weeks some of those CDs will be available to buy and stocked in independent record shops in Bristol.

Lastly, we are excited to share we are in the process of writing new music!!

Thank you for accepting us, being so kind, and coming with us on this incredible journey.

    Love

    Death Pigeon
    (JD and Neil)

  • Kickstarter campaign

    Kickstarter campaign

Along with our debut album being released on the 10th February 2023, we are also launching a Kickstarter campaign on the same day. Our Kickstarter campaign goes live this Friday on the 10th February 2023 until the 10th March 2023. Should the campaign be successful we are hoping to put out a physical album to all our backers first and then into local music shops in and around Bristol. If you can’t support we totally understand as the cost of living crisis continues to bite hard, but would you please mind sharing the campaign so we may reach as many people as possible.

Thank you for anything you can do to help us.
